I have a small Woocommerce site built using Elementor and the Astra theme. The whole site needs work, but we are focused on improving the experience of product detail pages right now.
I’ve done a Balsamiq wireframe of the page to show layout and page elements and now I need someone to build it. You would be responsible for turning the wireframe into an Elementor Template that we can apply to all the product pages. We would take care of adding content to the pages once the template is ready.
We are open to you refining the wireframe based on your knowledge of UX and ecommerce, and to adding new elements but we’re comfortable with you simply implementing what we’ve given you while making sure that it looks good.
Who I’m looking for:
— You know Elementor: You’ve built multiple sites using it and are comfortable with all its features. You are able to customize as needed and won’t just throw shortcodes everywhere. We really want to leverage the template capabilities, so we can handle updates and versioning more easily.
— A good eye for design. I’ve been working in ecommerce for over a decade, so I have a good grasp of what a PDP needs to have to convert, BUT I am not a designer. Ideally, you can take the wireframes a a guide to what should be on the page and then figure out how to make it look good.
— Not sure if this is a realistic expectation, but would be great if you understand caching and optimizing file sizes to help with page load times.
— Ecommerce experience is desired but not required.
— You are a freelancer based in the US. Ideally, the Pacific or Mountain timezones.
ANYONE CONTACTING ME OUTSIDE OF UPWORK WILL BE IMMEDIATELY DISQUALIFIED. Sorry for yelling, but I get 10 emails from offshore agencies every time I post on here.
How I’d like this to work:
— Include Elementor sites you’ve worked on in your cover letter
— I respond and share the link to my site and the wireframe I have
— We do a video call to walk through the wireframe and current pages, so you can ask questions
— I hire you (by 11/25), you work largely independently, with us checking in occassionally.
— When its ready, you handle applying the template to all the product pages
— I go in and populate the copy and images — you stay available to answer a few questions and troubleshoot as we populate the pages.
As I mentioned, the site needs a lot of work, so I would likely contract you for the next project (Category page) right after this is done.
