I work and make calls everywhere: on the beach, at Starbucks, on a train, driving, and… at home with my noisy children.
The perfect headset for me is the one that suppresses all background noises, including the coffee machine at Starbucks and the crying children in the same room.
When I use a laptop I’m able to lower the microphone sensitivity, and this helps, but on mobile, there is no option to adjust sensitivity and there is no headset that allows it on the hardware side.
There are several solutions on the market to grab the speaker’s voice and avoid all the rest: actors in theaters have boom microphones that allow it, also pilots in helicopters, referees in stadiums, military in wars. This technology, indeed, is not applied to Bluetooth headsets.
I think that brands are not using unidirectional microphones because the caller may need to grab surrounding sounds in some cases, but I DON’T, NEVER!
Furthermore, some of the headsets have a built-in mute button and a "busy" led to show others you are in a call.
Since there is no perfect headphone for me, i’ll design one with your help and maybe bring it to market.
