We are hiring Solution Engineers (Pre-Sales Engineers) to continue to build a proactive, customer-facing organization that ensures customers are getting value from Talend’s products and solutions. We are seeking Pre-Sales Engineers to join the sales team and support the increasing demand from our direct sales teams. Our portfolio of products includes Data Integration, Data Quality (DQ), API Services, Enterprise Service Bus (ESB), Big Data, Cloud and Data Catalog (Data Governance) The main responsibilities are to secure the “technical win” in growing our customer’s community and contribute to the enablement of our prospects during their selection process.Overall, we are looking for motivated candidates focused on evangelizing Talend technology and securing Talend as the preferred technology for joint go to market solutions. The right candidate would be a self-starter that thrives in an independent environment and seeks to continuously learn in a fast moving technical space. Key job functions include:Identifying business issues and relating them to Talend capabilitiesArticulating Talend’s value proposition and differentiation at all levels within prospect organizations, including line of business managers and technical architectsEngaging in and responding to RFI/RFP procurement processesQualifying opportunities Building and delivering comprehensive customized demonstrationsWorking within the sales team to own technical relationships with prospects from developer to CIOManaging delivering Proof of Concepts (POC)Demonstrating success at working both independently and as a valued team playerExcellent interpersonal and presentation skillsManaging a high number of concurrent active prospectsPossess 5-10 years of pre-sales experience Key skills:Significant and current experience of one or more of the following disciplines: Data Integration (ETL); experienced in Data Warehousing and Business IntelligenceTechnical knowledge should include JAVA, SQL, XML, XSD, JSON, RESTBig Data (Hadoop distributions and key technologies)Data Quality (DQ)Enterprise Service Bus (ESB)API ServicesRelational and NoSQL databasesKnowledge of Cloud Technologies is a huge plus Note that this is a hands-on role and requires the pre-sales engineer to install and configure the Talend software to meet the needs of the POC as defined and agreed with the customer.#LI-MM2
