Looking for someone to write a python script to sort through an Excel table and write the grouped data to the new sheet. Looking to group the column of data together into a new sheet. This is to group product information by site name.
The table has 9 unique columns. The first column is the "site". The rest of the columns are other information. There are multiple rows of information that I’d like to group together by "site". Each "site" should have it’s own sheet or tab in the workbook.
For example, I have 5 unique sites (towns) in the first column of the table but multiple rows of each site. The first site is ‘Adlanto’ and has 5 rows, 2nd site (Anderson) has 5 rows, 3rd site (Arcata) 2 rows, etc. I’d like to have a new worksheet with the first sheet ‘Adlanto’ and its 5 rows of data, the 2nd sheet named ‘Anderson’ and its 5 rows of data, 3rd sheet named ‘Arcata’ with its 2 rows of data, and so forth.
The original file name is "site_raw.xlsx") but the new workbook should be named different from the original ("site_info.xlsx").
